Did you know there’s a new art space in Glasgow based in an old-school building dating back to 1894?
The former Adelphi Terrace Public School at 5 Florence Street is home visual arts organization, The Common Guild. They’ve partnered with Assumption Studios to breathe new life into the amazing 130-year-old building and create space for Glasgow’s creatives.
Their latest exhibition is ‘The Rupture’ by visual artist and poet Tarik Kiswanson, which explores ‘legacies of war, geographical displacement, and trauma from the position of a second-generation immigrant growing up in a psychologically liminal state’.
The Rupture is the artist’s first solo exhibition in the UK and the first to take place at 5 Florence Street.
